Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Media reports state that US officials have characterized Huawei undersea internet cables as a security risk. (https://www.wsj.com/articles/u-s-takes-on-chinas-huawei-in-undersea-battle-over-the-global-internet-grid-11552407466)

Therefore, I am requesting the following records related to Huawei:

- Electronic mail communications and electronic mail attachments that mention "Huawei," or are sent to a representative from Huawei. Please limit the search results from December 1, 2018 to present.
- National security reports, assessments, or internal research that mentions "Huawei" from January 1, 2015 to present.
- Any other miscellaneous or otherwise categorized internal documents that mentions "Huawei" from December 1, 2018 to present.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes. It will be used in the course of reporting for Motherboard, VICE’s science and technology website (www.motherboard.vice.com).
