Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
In 1993, Juan Carlos Guzman Betancourt smuggled himself into the country via a cargo jet and gave a fake identity and age to the authorities after he was rescued. Later, his true age and identity were discovered, he was deposed on June 22, 1993. This deposition was referenced in his criminal case in Vermont in 2009, case number 1:09:CR-116. I am requesting a copy of this deposition.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
