This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

All internal Department of Labor communications (written, electronic, or audio) pertaining to, and/or mentioning, the Labor Department's compliance review of Palantir Technologies, Inc initiated in July 2011.

If any of the information herein requested contains trade secrets, or is classified in the interest of national defense or foreign policy, I ask that these portions of the requested documents be redacted and the remaining documentation be provided.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public through the news website Motherboard (motherboard.vice.com), and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available, or CD-ROM if not.

Good evening Mr. Franzen.

I am contacting you from the US Department of Labor's Employee Benefits Security Administration (EBSA) regarding your recent FOIA request; assignment number F2016-815161.

On October 20, 2016, we sent you an response letter which indicated that EBSA located no records responsive to your request. The EBSA Office of the Chief Accountant has since reported that they did locate records responsive which are now being reviewed for disclosure. Therefore, we are reopening your FOIA request.

Good afternoon Mr. Franzen. The Office of the Chief Accountant has confirmed that they have no records responsive to your request. The case that they located after EBSA's no records response dated, October 19, 2016, was closed due to receipt of a corrected filing. EBSA issued and received no letters concerning this case. Therefore, we do not have any physical or electronic records only evidence that the case was opened and closed.
