This will acknowledge DLA Energy's receipt of your organization's Freedom of Information Act request dated April 19, 2016, addressed to DLA Troop Support through which you seek a copy of contracts which includes those DLA Energy has had with Deloitte/Deloitte Consulting from FY2011 to date. I am Robert Silber. I work for the Defense Logistics Energy as its Freedom of Information Act Officer, and I am contacting you to bring you up to date on the status of your organization's FOIA request for a copy of all contracts DLA Energy has had with Deloitte since FY 2011.

DLA Energy located the responsive contracts and is now preparing to issue a response to your organization. DLA Energy can issue the response today if your organization is willing to receive the clearly releasable portions of these contracts. The redactions in these contracts are few, mostly to protect personal privacy under exemption 6. If, on the other hand, your organization seeks a non-redacted copy of the contracts, then a response may take up to three additional weeks due to the need to coordinate the response with several DLA Energy offices and in this regard, DLA Energy respectfully requests an extension of the response deadline to June 15, 2016.

The favor of your reply today would be especially appreciated. While we look forward to receiving the reply, we will assume your organization no longer wishes to pursue its request if it does not receive your reply to this inquiry by this Friday, June 24th by noon in which case your request will be treated as withdrawn and it will be administratively closed. Closing your request will not preclude your organization from subsequently filing a new request for the same records.
