To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

I would like copies of all tweets deleted by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Twitter feed (@HHSGov) from June 2009 to the present. This would include any tweets sent out on Twitter that were deleted or kept in draft form from the Twitter accounts @HHSGov. This request also would include copies of any e-mails or correspondence regarding the drafting and deletion of these tweets.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

I am a journalist whose works have appeared in Slate, VICE, the Massachusetts Review, Kill Screen, and elsewhere. This FOIA request is part of research for an ongoing piece of journalistic work, and as such, I am requesting a fee waiver. I have submitted versions of this FOIA request to other agencies, including the Office of Government Ethics, and in the process, I have been granted this fee waiver without question.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Muira McCammon

Hi,

There appears to have been an unnecessary delay to the procurement of records or a response to my original FOIA request.

Can you clarify what precisely is going on and more specifically, why there has been such a delay?

Thank you,
Muira McCammon

Hi, Wakema Williams,

I never received a follow up as to the status of my documents. Over a year ago, you wrote, "...our office received responsive records and has processed your request, however, your request is pending management's review. I will provide you with an update regarding your FOIA request; no later than the close of business tomorrow."

I am seeking clarification as to what is happening; if there is a certain time that I or my lawyer can be in touch with you, please do not hesitate to suggest times that work best for you.
