This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
The Official Military Personnel File (OMPF) including all Fitness Report and Counseling forms (NAVPERS Form 1610/2), the most recent Cumulative Record Of Training (NAVPERS Form 5300/16), the Background Summary (NAVPERS Form 1640/32), Officer Personnel Action Requests (NAVPERS Form 1301/85) and Form DD-214, for David Maurice Robinson (DOB: 8/6/1965). He attended the United States Naval Academy from 1983 to 1987, was enlisted in the naval reserves 1987-1989, and obtained the final rank Lieutenant, Junior Grade.
David Robinson is a famous public figure. Nicknamed "The Admiral" because of his time at the US Naval Academy, he is one of the best basketball players of all time.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
