Good morning sir,

The response I received today from CYBERCOM is their best estimate would again be a response around the end of January. As I previously stated, based on the fact that their FOIA staff performs other non-FOIA functions, and based on the number of pages, their highly classified nature and their FOIA backlog, their estimated response date most likely will be pushed further out. Please touch base with me again around the beginning of the new year to see where they are at with your 3 requests.

Thank you for your continued patience.

Good morning sir,

I spoke to the CYBERCOM FOIA office this morning about this request. They
are requesting that you narrow your request to make it more manageable. For
example, instead of asking for "Any slides held by CYBERCOM that refer to
Kaspersky, from January 1st 2010 to the present.", ask for "Slide
presentations developed by CYBERCOM where Kaspersky is the subject." They
also request you narrow the date range of your request.

I think this is reasonable based on the fact that as your request is
written, it could take more than a year to process.

Thank you for your consideration. Awaiting your reply.

Hey Kendall,

Sure, sounds good. In that case, would this phrasing work?

I request all slide presentations developed by CYBERCOM where Kaspersky is the subject, from 1st January 2015 to the present.

Thanks a lot,

From: US Strategic Command - USSTRATCOM

Yes sir, I think this will be much more manageable.

Thank you very much for your consideration. Means a lot.

Sir,

I've bcc'd the CYBERCOM FOIA team and will let you know how they respond.

If memory serves, their holiday vacations should be over by now.

I'll be in touch.

Cool, thanks a lot,

From: US Strategic Command - USSTRATCOM

Sir,

The CYBERCOM FOIA POC informed me that their response is currently with CYBERCOM's recently appointed FOIA initial denial authority (IDA). He tried to get in with IDA today to discuss, but was unable to get a face-to-face meeting. I'll let you know when it might be signed off by their IDA. Until CYBERCOM totally stands up as a combatant command, FOIA responses will continue to be forwarded by me.
