Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

A copy of any files regarding actions taken by the Ford Administration and CIA during the Angolan War of Independence as well as during the first years of the Angolan Civil War.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

This is in response to your Freedom of Information Act Request to U.S.
Africa Command for any files regarding actions taken by the Ford
Administration and CIA during the Angolan War of Independence as well as
during the first years of the Angolan Civil War.

The case processing number for this request is 2020-096. Your request is
being processed in accordance with Title 5 U.S.C. ยง 552, the Freedom of
Information Act. The actual processing time for the records you requested
may depend upon our administrative backlog and records that may require
consultation with other DoD components and other agencies. If you have any

NOTE: This command was stood up in 2008 and therefore does not possess
records from the Ford Administration.
I would suggest that you should resubmit your request directly to the Ford
Library and to the CIA as they are more likely to have responsive records.
