To Whom It May Concern:

Your agency recently provided to a fellow open records enthusiast a list of the following videos, which were stated to be available to the public from your agency under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA). However, the format of these films (16mm? Betamax? VHS? video disc?) and the resulting costs of their potential duplication or digitization were not provided in that response.

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I would therefore like to request copies of the following films:

1) Where the Girls Are -- VD in Southeast Asia, 23 minutes, 1969, Accession number 25636-DF.
2) Operation Second Chance, 27 minutes, 1963, Accession Number 25395-DF
3) Get to Know Charlie, 33 minutes, 1967, Accession number 20810-DF
4) Culture Aspects of Captivity (POW), 24 minutes, 1981, Accession Number 52542-DF
5) Chemical Munitions: Psycho and Nerve Agents, 33 minutes, 1962, Accession Number 27558-DF
6) The Rat Problem, 25 minutes, 1950, Accession Number 27574-DF
7) Combat Kid, 10 minutes, 1968, Accession Number 20870-DF
8) Cuban Crisis, 14 minutes, 1963, accession Number 25400-DF
9) Red Force Tactics, Part I and II, 90 minutes, 1978, Accession Number 48142-DF
10) Sea Survival - Sea to Shore, 25 minutes, 1983, Accession Number 53188-DF
11) Propaganda Exploitations of Prisoners of War, 57 minutes, 1979, Accession Number 51202-DF
12) North Vietnamese Interrogation of USAF Prisoners of War - POW Interviews, 41 minutes, Accession Number 51315-DF
13) The Day Everything Went Wrong, 22 minutes, 1979, Accession Number 51638-DF
14) Drive for Your LIfe, 18 minutes, 1978, Accession Number 51644-DF
15) Domestic Disturbance Calls, 24 minutes, 1976, Accession Number 40281-DF
16) Deception, 30 minutes, 1977, Accession Number 48109-DF
17) POW Solitary Confinement Experiences, 32 minutes, 1976, Accession Number 50714-DF
18) Brainwashing, 44 minutes, 1958, Accession Number 25241-DF
19) A View of America from the 23rd Century, 22 minutes, 1969, Accession Number 25803-DF
20) Years of Protest and Dissent, 15 minutes, 1971, Accession Number 39808-DFS

Before fulfilling my request, please inform me of the current physical format(s) of these films, and a cost estimate for the duplication and/or digitization of each one.

If some or all of the films exist in more than one format, such as a film that might be stored as an old 16mm reel but which also has a newer digital version, then please indicate the resolution, quality, compression method, file format, and file size of the resulting digital file, so that the best possible version of each film can be selected for the FOIA response.

These materials will be digitized (if not already digitized), uploaded, and made freely available to the public through the Internet Archive. This request is not being made for commercial purposes.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Brooke Schreier Ganz
