This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

Any and all documents released by the Department of Homeland Security in response to the following FOIA requests:

- 2014-HQFO-00670 (submitted on 7/28/2014)
- 2014-HQFO-00609 (submitted on 7/8/2014)
- 2014-HQFO-00474 (submitted on 6/5/2014)
- 2014-HQFO-00536 (submitted on 6/19/2014)
- 2014-HQFO-00540 (submitted on 6/23/2014)
- 2014-HQFO-00573 (submitted on 6/16/2014)

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

I am a professional journalist who regularly writes about national security and human rights for outlets that include the Boston Globe, Al Jazeera America, Salon, GlobalPost, Huffington Post and Religion Dispatches. In addition, I am a digital producer at the New England Center for Investigative Reporting and the editor-in-chief of Spare Change News, both established news outlets located in Boston, Massachusetts.

I am making this FOIA request as part of the news gathering process, and I will use the documents I am requesting to produce original news stories and analysis. My ongoing relationship with a number of local, national and international publications insures that any articles I write based on these documents will be published and distributed widely to the public at large. In addition, I will make the documents themselves available to the public at large through MuckRock.com and my own personal website, JoshuaEaton.net.
