Dear Mr. Feathers:

This responds to your email inquiring about the status of your FOIA request, ATFY14-027, for copies of communications between the Antitrust Division and certain Comcast executives since November 1, 2013. There are currently 59 requests pending ahead of yours. We generally try to process requests in their order of receipt to be fair to all requesters. We appreciate your understanding and patience regarding this. Would you like to consider narrowing your request?

Dear Mr. Feathers:

I'm sorry I did not respond to your earlier email, but the status of your request has not changed too much. We are trying to collect documents reflecting communications with executives of Comcast and the Division that would be responsive to your request. There are 57 requests pending ahead of yours. That does not mean that you will have to wait until all 57 requests are processed before yours since many of those requests could involve a voluminous amount of documents. Your request is always on my mind and I hope we can respond before too long, but I can't give you a date. I hope you understand.

Ron,

Thanks so much for your kind reply. Because i file so many FOIA requests (and have a short and long term memory that leaves much to be desired) I have a system set up that automatically sends a follow-up email every month, regardless of whether the agency is being helpful or not. I've turned the automatic follow-ups off for this request (I hope), but if you do receive another one and you're still processing the request please feel free to ignore it or tell me to bugger off.

Thanks so much,
Todd
