This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
All communications and correspondence — including, but not limited to, any emails, letters, memos, instant messenger chats — between the Office of Information Policy and the Selective Service System regarding the SSS's Chief Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Officer Report for the year 2014
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

This responds to your email dated February 11, 2015, inquiring into the status of your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request for communications between this Office and the Selective Service System (SSS) regarding their 2014 Chief FOIA Officer Report. Upon reviewing your file, we have determined that our letter of May 8, 2014, acknowledging receipt of your request was addressed to an incorrect email account. I apologize for this oversight and a copy of that letter is attached.
Our Office has located records that are responsive to your request. Because these records contain information of interest to another federal agency, we can respond only after consulting with the SSS. At this time, we estimate that your request will be completed within three months. Please be advised that this is a preliminary estimate.
