Greetings: This email acknowledges receipt of your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) dated March 17, 2018 and received in OMB's FOIA office on March 20, 2018. Your request has been logged in and is being processed. For your reference, the OMB FOIA number is 2018-238.
To Whom It May Concern:
I wanted to follow up on the following Freedom of Information Act request, copied below, and originally submitted on March 17, 2018. Please let me know when I can expect to receive a response, or if further clarification is needed.
Thanks for your help, and let me know if further clarification is needed.
Hello Mr. Shor - This to ask you for clarification regarding your FOIA request to OMB dated March 20, 2018 and numbered 18-243. Your search request included "All communications, to and from, Eric Trump" and "All communications involving "Eric Trump", or the words "Eric" AND "Trump."" Is the second search item intended to find communications that Eric Trump was "involved" in by searching for his name, "Eric Trump" as a recipient? I do not have access to the private email address of someone like Eric Trump so the best I can do is use flexible search terms for what that address might be. Do you approve of a revised search for: all emails to or from email addresses that include the words "Eric" AND "Trump" in them?
Please let me know if you have any questions, and what you wish to do.
Good day Matthew Shor,
The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) regrets the delay in responding to your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.
Unfortunately, OMB is experiencing a backlog of FOIA requests. Please know that OMB management is very committed to providing responses to FOIA requests and remedying the FOIA backlog.
Given the passage of time, this communication is to confirm whether you are still interested in having the attached FOIA request processed. Please confirm your continued interest by replying to this email within 14 calendar days from the date of this communication, and reference the FOIA number cited above.
If we do not receive a response from you within the specified time frame, we will consider the non-response as an indication that you are no longer interested, and will close your FOIA request.

I am writing in response to your Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) dated March 20, 2018 and assigned tracking number 2018-238. In the communication, we noted that a non-response will be treated as an indication that you are no longer interested and that we will close your FOIA request. Because the specified time has passed without a response, we are administratively closing this FOIA request.
