From: Christina Brown

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

I am requesting all communication between the Office of Information Policy staff and Executive Office for Immigration Review staff related to FOIA Request Appeal No. DOJ-AP-2019-005044/FOIA Request No. 2019-30976. This request includes, but is not limited to: email correspondence, instant messaging or messenger correspondence of any type, letters, memoranda, or any related documentation related to communications between these two offices related to the FOIA request number and FOIA appeal number above.

The requested documents are in the public interest. EOIR has refused to release any FOIA responses to a number of asylum-related FOIA requests in the past year. These requests are in the public interest. Considering the domination of the news cycle by asylum-related issues, it is clearly within the public interest to have transparency in how these cases are treated by EOIR.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Christina Brown
