Dear Mr. Waltman:

This letter is to acknowledge receipt of your July 7, 2017, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request, which was forwarded to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration's (OSHA) Directorate of Enforcement Programs (DEP) for response on July 12. Your request has been assigned FOIA tracking number: 835155. Please refer to this number in any future correspondence.

You request the following:

"-Reports and statistics on the number of commercial or potable diving accidents per year since 2010.
-Any DOL studies done on how to improve safety for commercial and potable divers since the year 2000.
-A list of investigations into commercial and potable diving accidents since the year 2010.
-Guidelines and safety regulations for potable and commercial diving companies."

Your request is currently in progress. Note that your response is anticipated to exceed the allotted 20 days, as all FOIA's are sent to the Office of the Solicitor (SOL) for clearance, which usually protracts processing time. This request also involves coordination with another agency component, who will query OSHA's databases for responsive accidents and investigations, which requires time on their end, as well. Please keep these considerations in mind while you await your response.

Sincerely,

April Streets

Your response is awaiting final signature. I should receive it either the remaining of this or next week. If, however, this is not the case, I will advise you.

Dear Mr. Waltman,

This is a follow-up to last week's message that I sent unaware that the Director would be out of the office this week. As a result, this FOIA was not signed. Since he is due back this coming week, I will work with him to get a signature, and hopefully, emailed the same week.
