Help pay filing fees to sue the CIA for its list of poisons

Share Embed Help

The CIA has rejected a request for information on its assassination methods, including historically important documents. The law firm of Mark S. Zaid has agreed to represent J.M. Porup pro bono, but we still have to raise half the filing fees — the Freedom of the Press Foundation has generously agreed to fund the other half. Donate here. Any additional funds raised will go towards funding other national security-related requests.

Backed by Jonathan Rudenberg, Tony Webster, Freddy Martinez, Brian Kroll, and 6 others.

$290.00 raised out of $287.50.

To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

Any and all documents relating to CIA use of poison for covert assassination.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Jens Porup

This FOIA request refers to *any* poisons ever used by the CIA for assassination. As the Church Committee clearly demonstrated in 1975, the CIA (at least at that time, *ahem*) did indeed engage in assassinations.

Please see:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-switch/wp/2014/03/13/former-church-committee-chief-counsel-new-technology-adds-a-lot-to-government-power/

Please disclose any and all documents referring to the development, deployment, use and storage of said poisons up to today. Please also include a list of any and all persons so assassinated by poison in the history of the CIA from its creation to its present day.

This FOIA request refers to the CIA from its inception to its present day, and all details of this request should be interpreted as such.

From: Central Intelligence Agency

The request has been rejected, with the agency stating that the information or document(s) requested are exempt from disclosure.

From: Jens Porup

EO 12333 may prohibit assassinations, but EO 12333 dates from the Reagan administration, and the Church Committee investigation revealed that the CIA was engaged in assassination before that time.

Please consider this FOIA to refer to all assassination programs from the inception of the CIA to the present day, including the era pre-EO 12333. Information in the public makes clear that the CIA has, in the past, murdered people with poison. Please respond to the FOIA request with complete details on those historical programs.

JMP
