Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

The Official Military Personnel File (OMPF) for CHRISTOPHER L SAXTON including Form DD-214, all Fitness Report and Counseling forms NAVPERS Form 1610/2, NAVPERS form 1610/1, Enlisted performance evaluation reports NAVPERS Form 1616-1, the Background Summary (NAVPERS Form 1640/32), Cumulative Record of Training (NAVPERS Form 5300/16), history of assignments NAVPERS 1070/605, Navy Training History NAVPERS form 601-4, all military decoration and full award citations, all military education/training courses, military service number.
Specifically request copy of history of assignments NAVPERS form 1070/605, copy of all personal commendation medal citations including joint service commendation medal and all unit commendation citations with or without redactions as determined by FOIA officer.

CHRISTOPHER L SAXTON served in US Navy, former enlisted service member, retired chief petty officer. Approximate service dates 1978 to 2000 active duty. Claims numerous decorations/awards including Navy commendation medal, joint service commendation medal, meritorious service medal, Combat Action Ribbon, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Overseas service ribbon, Navy Unit Commendation medal and other decorations. Served with underwater demolition team Eleven in 1979/1980. birth date unknown. This request is submitted to corroborate claim to be a U.S. military veteran. NPRC search of records 1956 to 1994 unable to locate the OMPF file, advised to contact Navy Personnel Command for more information such as military service number, NPRC# or last 4 partial social security number.

PLEASE NOTE: I am general public and thus do not know the military service number.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press.
