Hi, I am appealing the result of my FOIA request, which was assigned Case File number 17-JPL-F-00899. The FOIA public relations officer wrote that because my request for "Any emails sent to, from, or within the agency since July 28, 2017, containing the keywords "slave," "kidnap," "Alex Jones," or "Robert David Steele" was pertaining to a hoax, there were no federal records on it. I am aware that the incident was a hoax, but it was publicly acknowledged and refuted by NASA spokesperson Guy Webster. If necessary, my request can be narrowed to Mr. Webster's email account, but I request that the search still be performed.
From: National Aeronautics and Space Administration
The request has been rejected by the agency.
