To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Records mentioning or pertaining to the late Rush Hudson Limbaugh III, commonly known as Rush Limbaugh. An attached obituary shall serve as proof Limbaugh has passed away in 2021; as such, privacy interests recognized under exemptions to FOIA as well as the Privacy Act are diminished, and investigations concerning Limbaugh as a subject are minimally impacted. Please see PDF for proof Rush Limbaugh is dead.

To assist in the identification of records, please note the following identifiers:

First five digits of Social Security Number 488-54;
DOB: January 12, 1951;
Date of Death: February 17, 2021.

Responsive records include all records of border crossing and any record of secondary screening. There is at least one known incident in 2006 wherein Limbaugh was searched upon arrival from the Dominican Republic by CBP and found to possess contraband erectile dysfunction pills; however, all known border crossings and secondary screening records should be considered responsive.

If any potentially responsive records have been destroyed and/or transferred to NARA, then I request copies of the destruction or transfer slips as well as any other documentation relating to, mentioning or describing said transfer or destruction, to include but not be limited to confirmation that the CBP has no other copies of said records.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

T. McElwee
