To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

First, a list of the reports that can be run from the CASE Database.

Second, any already-existing images of the following, including images contained in training materials or which have been created to respond to or in researching FOIA requests in the past (including but not limited to in researching or responding to FOIA Request No. 2019-9044 or any other FOIA request that has requested such information):

1. The "Category" menu within the CASE database.

2. The "Reports" menu within the CASE database.

3. The "Court Reports" menu within the CASE database.

4. The "Sub Category" dropdown menu within the "Court Reports" module within the CASE Database.

Third, in addition to the already-existing screenshots, I am asking for the actual dropdown menus from the CASE database in the format in which they already exist.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Matthew Hoppock

The agency says the records don't exist, but we're asking for menus from a database that we know to exist. The agency says it won't take screenshots of the records, but we haven't asked for that. We've asked that the records be produced in their standard format. If a screenshot would be easier, that would be acceptable. But if the agency would prefer to not create a new record, it could produce the database itself (or a portion of it) to reflect the menus I've asked for.

The agency has unlawfully withheld records without a proper exemption. The agency also did not conduct an adequate search.

I am writing to follow up on this request. Our appeal was granted and the request was remanded to this office in January, 2020. We have received the acknowledgment letter and tracking number but have not received anything further since then. Do you know when the responsive documents might be produced? Thank you.
