This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

All records relating to, mentioning or describing Inslaw Inc. or Promis, including but not limited to the U.S. Navy's, presumably through the Naval Sea Systems Command, ~1984 visit to INSLAW Inc. to discuss licensing PROMIS for use on WANG VS computers on board aircraft carriers to keep track of disciplinary proceedings against members of the crew on each carrier for infractions committed while the carrier was in port. Two INSLAW employees, Dean C. Merrill and John Gizzarelli, that same year made a follow up presentation on PROMIS for this disciplinary application in Norfolk, Virginia on board the USS Carl Vincent to the carrier's Captain and his top staff.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
