To Whom It May Concern:
I wanted to follow up on the following Freedom of Information Act request, copied below, and originally submitted on Oct. 23, 2019. Please let me know when I can expect to receive a response.
Thanks for your help, and let me know if further clarification is needed.
This is an appeal to the DOJ for its refusal to process our FOIA request on an expedited basis. The calendar in question establishes when Brian Benczkowski meet with Rudy Guliani. As your office may be aware, two of Guliani's are under indictment out of the SDNY. Therefore, the timing of the meeting meets the threshold of "“the request concerns a matter of current exigency to the American public". Further the consequences of delaying a response would compromise a significant recognized interest and the request concerns federal government activity.
Therefore, I request a formal appeal under USC 552 for expedited processing.
Please see the attached, which acknowledges receipt of your Freedom of Information Act and/or Privacy Act request. If you have any questions, please contact the FOIA/PA Unit at 202 616-0307 for further assistance.
