This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
Contracts, invoices, communications with Academi Training Center LLC (H92222-16-D-0036) in support of US Special Operations Command Tampa, Florida, for the years 2015 and 2016 inclusive. Please note that while these documents are under contention, their applicability to public discourse is not affected in anyway. Denial to release any part of these records will trigger an immediate appeal. Please conserve the valuable time of all involved and properly release the records requested as demanded under law. Thank you!
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM, DVD-R, or BD-R if not.

The U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) Office has received your request (below) and assigned it USSOCOM FOIA 2016-210. Please refer to this number should you have any questions concerning your request.
Your request is being processed in accordance with procedural requirements promulgated in Department of Defense (DoD) Regulation 5400.7-R, which is available on the Internet at: http://www.defenselink.mil/pubs.foi/. The actual processing time will depend upon its complexity, whether it involves sensitive records, voluminous records, extensive searches, consultation among DoD components or other agencies, and our administrative workload.
We have placed you in the "News Media" category for fee purposes, which means you are obligated to pay all duplication costs after the first 100 pages; however, depending on the size of the document(s) we may provide the final release on CD or electronically and no charges will be assessed.
The USSOCOM FOIA Office has a substantial number of pending FOIA cases, therefore, we process requests in a multi-track processing system based on the date of receipt and the amount of work and time involved in processing each request. Also, when processing contract information for release under the FOIA, we have a requirement to notify the submitter and give them time to review their contracts to include recommendations for withholding any proprietary information that they would not want released. In addition, if any documents require another Agency review, we must consult with them to review any information that might fall under their purview. Upon initial search when this request was received, the subject matter expert advised there were approximately 2,000 pages. Is it possible for you to narrow the scope of "communications?" Communications regarding what specific topic? A narrowed scope could possibly allow for a more timely response to your inquiry.
