Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

Any and all records related to any new phones Secretary Bernhardt has acquired since January 1, 2020 to the date this request is processed. This request also seeks any email or other electronic communication sent or received by DOI tech support, scheduling or secretarial personnel that helped Secretary Bernhardt obtain one or more new phones in June 2020, including so-called burner phones or dumb phones for one-time or intermittent use.

I am a reporter for The Guardian.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Thank you for this Cindy. The trouble is, I have email records showing that the Secretary indeed requested and received at least two new phones since January 2020. I can't share those specific records with you, but I know they exist. Why would those not have turned up in this search?
