In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

An interim response, stating the request is being processed.

From: Federal Bureau of Investigation

A fix is required to perfect the request. The request has been rejected as being too vague, burdensome or otherwise unprocessable.

From: Michael Best

The information requested was provided in my original request. The name of the organization is the (Bank of Credit and Commerce International* (B.C.C.I.). It is an *international* bank founded in *1972* by Agha Hasan Abedi which ceased operations in 1991 although litigation and investigations into the bank continued beyond that date. The bank was involved in massive money laundering and other financial crimes, and illegally gained the controlling interest in a major American bank. I even provided a link to the Congressional report on the subject.

Further, as acknowledged in the message sent from the Bureau on January 19th in response to this FOIA request, the request was NOT considered too broad and a search was being performed.

I would like to appeal the decision to reject my request for being "too broad" and not properly described.
