This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
• all audio recordings of EPA Director Gina McCarthy, speaking with a journalist or journalists, or speaking before an audience, which audio recordings were made by or maintained by or are in in the custody of Director McCarthy and/or any member of the EPA’s media team and/or press team.
I wish to exclude any and all audio of testimony to congress or any audio of any other publicly available hearing.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

I'm from EPA's Office of Public Affairs and I'm contacting you to give you a status update on your FOIA Request EPA-HQ-2017-003054. I wanted to let you know that we were still working on your FOIA request and that we had not forgotten about it.
As you can imagine, the Office of Public Affairs, which is where your FOIA has been assigned, is absolutely swamped with FOIA requests. And, similarly, our E-Discovery services have been overwhelmed by an unprecedented number of FOIA requests. We are currently trying to gain access to the audio information that you are requesting.
