This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
All annual, semi-annual, quarterly, monthly, and/or weekly reports completed by the Army Unmanned Aerial Systems office from January 2000 through July 2015.
Given that this FOIA is submitted in my capacity as a journalist who has covered the federal government extensively, I request that I be categorized as a media requester for the purpose of fees. Here is a selection of my published articles on MuckRock:

Charmaine - they didn't state any records. They are asking for all reports
the PM did for 15 years. They have to be more specific. This is an
open-ended request.
This is the request:
All annual, semi-annual, quarterly, monthly, and/or weekly reports completed
by the Army Unmanned Aerial Systems office from January 2000 through July
2015.
We need something more specific, i.e., what kind of reports and exactly what
type of information is the reporter looking for especially when it covers 15
years' worth. Also depending on what type of reports, the current owning
organization of those reports should be the ones to disclose it. Most of our
reports are in response to a tasker or query from a higher organization;
therefore, I think that whoever is the recipient of those reports (the
current owning organization) are the ones who has to approve release of
them.
There's no way to approach this unless we know what specific information
they are looking for.

I believe that you sent me a template response, rather than a response specific to my request. It includes a range of different responses, including that all responsive documents are FOUO, that my request is insufficiently specific, that the requested documentation is excessive in cost, and that there are no costs.
Please advise as to the status of this request.

This is not a generic response, the Action Office is requesting specific details on exactly what reports you are asking for so they it can be more cost effective. Also, they need to know the level of fees you are willing to pay. They are trying to find exactly what you need.
