This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:
All diplomatic cables sent between the US Embassy in Yerevan, Armenia and the following official U.S. visitors in preparation for the visits by those officials listed below. I am only seeking communications sent prior to each visit, including any "scene setter" cables for these officials.
1) US Ambassador to the OSCE Julie Finley, October 2006
2) Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Daniel Fried, March 2006
3) Assistant Secretary of State David Kramer, June 2008
4) Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg, July 10-11, 2009
5) Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Tina Kaidanow, October 19-21, 2009
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.
