To Whom It May Concern:

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

I request all information, documents, records, and communications within the FBI/DOJ regarding the 8/31/2004 Campus Anti-War Counter-Convention (CAWC) at Columbia University Miller Theater, including NYPD and likely NYPD ID (New York Police Department Intelligence Division) operations before, during, and after the convention. Such records should include the notes of the plainclothes NYPD officer in a planning meeting with Columbia security, days before CAWC of 8/31/2004, (around 8/27/2004) which likely includes references to Rep. John Conyers Jr. and Al Jazeera. In addition, there are likely NYPD ID operations to spy on the organizer(s) of the event with human asset(s), in preparation for the convention, in the weeks before the event, and NYPD and/or FBI communications with Columbia University and Columbia Law School. I would like copies of all information, records, emails, phone logs/transcripts, letters, notes, memoranda, and all electronic or non-electronic communications/records/information.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

omar scott antar
