This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

Copies of any FDA inspections or independent inspections submitted to the FDA regarding the quality, safety or otherwise potability of water served aboard U.S. airlines. Please also include any summary reports based on these inspections as well as other reports that are derived from these inspections.

Please limit this search to inspections or studies performed between 2009 and the date that this request is processed.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Can we begin this FOIA by providing you with a list of the inspections? And then from there, if you see individual inspections you are interested in, you would submit a FOIA to that particular inspection? We feel this would be much more expeditious.

Please let me know if that is acceptable to you. Thank you!

For your 2nd FDA FOIA request regarding safety and hygiene of airline carriers, can we provide a copy of what we provided to USA Today for a previously requested FOIA? Again it would be much more expeditious.

If not, can we at least start with a list?

Thank you!

From: Michael Morisy

Sure, a list is fine in both cases. Thanks!
