To Whom It May Concern,

This is a request under the Freedom of Information Act. I hereby request the following records:

Can you please help me find this historical information?

(1) A report that describes the activities at the Silver King Mine (Pend Oreille County) carried out in the 1960s (or later in the Cold War) by the Air Force Survival School--the U.S. Air Force's Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape SERE school's 336th Training Group (or its precursor) located at Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington.

(2) Any survey of the Silver King Mine's potential as a fallout shelter that might have been carried out by the survival school or Fairchild Air Force Base's Disaster Control Office around the Summer of 1969 (or later in the Cold War).

(3) A copy of the 336th TRG Historical Pamphlet that was previously available from a link on the following page online, but is now a broken link that leads to an error page: http://www.fairchild.af.mil/About/Fact-Sheets/Display/Article/238992/us-air-force-survival-school/

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Sincerely,

Lee O'Connor
