Pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
A copy of all documents related to the AIDS Coalition to Unleash Power, otherwise known as ACT UP, which began its activities in March 1987.
I am a career journalist with work that has appeared in various publications. I am willing to pay any reasonable expenses associated with this request, however, as the purpose of the requested disclosure is in full conformity with the statutory requirements for a waiver of fees, I formally request such a waiver.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 20 business days, as the statute requires.

Our FOIA office has a decentralized records management process. We rely on HHS program offices to maintain their records, conduct the records search, and send those search results to this office. Our office needs additional information to complete your FOIA request. This FOIA office coordinates record searches for multiple program offices within the Program Support Center (PSC) and Office of the Assistant Secretary of Health (OASH) of HHS. For example, PSC has offices that manage records for the Financial Management Portfolio (FMP), Federal Occupational Health (FOH), and Real Estate Logistics & Operations (RLO). OASH includes the Office of Research Integrity (ORI), Office of Women's Health (OWH), Office of Population Affairs (OPA), Office of Surgeon General (OSG), and other offices within the Public Health Service.
