Ms. Crose,

Our apologies for the delay in processing your FOIA request. Before we can proceed with processing it, can you please clarify as to whether you are seeking requests, which have been submitted to the FAA, for an ADS-B Privacy ICAO Address (PIA), because the agency does not deactivate an aircraft's ADS-B device. Please reply to this email with the additional information needed to process your request and the assignment will be made to the appropriate office.

I'm looking for documentation on requests made at the time an ADS-B device was switched off. Does the FAA not keep a datetime record of aircraft deactivating ADS-B devices mid-flight?

From: Federal Aviation Administration

Ms. Crose,

Thank you for the additional information. Attached is the letter acknowledging receipt of your FOIA request.
