Good Morning Mr. Kick,

This communication is in regards to a pending FOIA request that was submitted to ED on June 23, 2017. In the request, the following information was sought:

"All documents regarding the policies, procedures, and processes for determining interest rates and capitalization for Stafford loans. The time frame for this request is January 1, 2010, to the present".

On behalf of the Department, please accept my apology for the delay in finalizing this FOIA request, but I'm reaching out to you to determine if you are still interested in having the Department continue to process this request. Over the passage of time, the need for particular information diminishes, and in our current climate of limited resources, it would be beneficial to know if we no longer need to allocate resources to this request. Please let me know if you are still interested as soon as possible by responding to this email. A lack of response by May 23, 2019 will be interpreted that this request is no longer of interest, resulting in its administrative closure.

Again, on behalf of the Department, please accept my apologies for the delay in finalizing your FOIA request.

Thank you.

Yes, I am still interested in this request. Please continue to process.

Also, if I could ask a favor, please use my email address russkick@gmail.com for the Stafford loan FOIA request. That's the address that I used when filing this request. (The address that we're currently using, at MuckRock, is almost always just for my annual request to all agencies for their FOIA logs.)

Thank you,
RK
