Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
Documentation detailing the cost of elections by polling location or polling center, dated between 2019 and the present.
Ultimately, my goal is to understand how much money is saved or spent altering the number of polling locations. If there is a better way to request this information, I'm all ears.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Good morning,
Thank you for contacting the Office of the Texas Secretary of State (the "Office"). This email responds to your request for information under the Public Information Act, Chapter 552 of the Texas Government Code (the "PIA").
Although the State of Texas provides certain funding to state party and county party officials for their roles in the administration of primary elections, the counties themselves are responsible for costs they incur in administering any general elections. The counties do not report "the cost of elections by polling location or polling center" to our Office, and party officials do not submit information at the level of detail specified in your inquiry. Therefore, we maintain no information responsive to your Request.
