Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act , I hereby request the following records:

A copy of the calendar(s) with events maintained by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Texas and used as reference for the daily agenda of Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst during the months of June, July, August, September, October, and November of 2014. Pursuant to section 1.1.013 of the Texas State Records Retention Schedule, calendars and appointment records are public records and required to be retained.

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Governor's personal, family, and business appointments) (see Sec. 552.002, Tex. Gov't Code); and (2) information about contacts with citizens of Texas (not including lobbyists or state officials/employees) (see Sec. 306.004, Tex. Gov't Code). Neither of these categories of information is subject to required public disclosure under the Texas Public Information Act.
