Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act , I hereby request the following records:
A copy of the calendar(s) with events maintained by the Office of Rick Perry and used as reference for the daily agenda of Governor Rick Perry during the months of August, September, October, and November 2014. Pursuant to section 1.1.013 of the Texas State Records Retention Schedule, calendars and appointment records are public records and required to be retained.
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

On November 14, 2014, the Office of the Governor (the "OOG") received your request under the Public Information Act (the "PIA") for the following information:
A copy of the calendar(s) with events maintained by the Office of Rick Perry and used as reference for the daily agenda of Governor Rick Perry during the months of August, September, October, and November 2014.
We have compiled the information responsive to your request. The OOG asserts no exceptions to disclosure of most of the information responsive to your request, and we are releasing this information to you. Accordingly, the documents being released are attached to this e-mail.
We believe the remainder of the responsive information is excepted from required disclosure under the PIA and have requested an opinion from the Attorney General's office with respect to the release of this information. Attached is a copy of the correspondence that we sent to the Attorney General's office.

On November 14, 2014, the Office of the Governor (the “OOG”) received your request under the Public Information Act (the “PIA”) for the following information:
A copy of the calendar(s) with events maintained by the Office of Rick Perry and used as reference for the daily agenda of Governor Rick Perry during the months of August, September, October, and November 2014.
We have previously provided you with most of the information responsive to your request. As you know, we requested a decision from the Office of the Attorney General as to whether the remaining responsive information is excepted from disclosure under the PIA. The Attorney General has issued letter ruling OR2014-23205, dated December 22, 2014, regarding such request. OR2014-23205 provides that the remaining responsive information is excepted from disclosure under the PIA. As such, no further information will be provided to you in response to your request.
