Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
I would like all reports on the use of the DPS helicopters for the entire months of January 2019 to March 2019 in the cities of Carthage, Texas, Marshall, Texas, and Beckville, Texas. I would also like any and all photos that were taken from those helicopters as well as duration of air flight on these days and areas it covered. I am requesting mileage and how much fuel and price of fuel that was used during these flights.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

All releasable information was provided in our May 9, 2019 correspondence. The Department sought an AG ruling to withhold the reports because there is an active investigation. The Attorney General issued a ruling on May 29, 2019 allowing the Department to withhold the records.
