From: Liam Knox
To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:
A copy of the work calendar used by Dr. Charles Nemeroff, chair of the Psychiatry Department at UT Austin Dell Medical School, from October 2018 to the present.
I request that I be properly classified as a news media requester. I am an intern for the Chronicle of Higher Education, and I am requesting this information in that editorial capacity.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Liam Knox

Mr. Knox,
Your June 10 request, which was assigned ORR No. 151006, is currently pending with the Office of the Attorney General. Once we receive their ruling on the information at issue, we will release or withhold it in accordance therewith. I expect their ruling to be issued sometime in late August/early September. Thank you.

Hi David,
Can you please clarify what you mean by a response from the AG? I wasn't aware they were involved in this -- is the university appealing to request that the documents not be released?

Mr. Knox,
Yes, we believed some of the requested information was excepted from released by exceptions in the Public Information Act, and so we requested a ruling from the OAG as required under Texas law. We have yet to receive their ruling, which will tell us the extent to which the information not yet released should be sent to you. Thank you.
