To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Tennessee Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
Any email, text message, letter, memo or other digital or written communication, sent or received by any employee of your agency between April 25, 2018 and the date on which this request is processed which mentions the group "American Renaissance."
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 7 business days, as the statute requires.
Please note that I am a citizen of Tennessee, and am using MuckRock's services to help manage and track my request.
This email is in response to your recent request for TBI records that mention "American Renaissance." Any documents that we have that are responsive to your request are part of an investigative case file and therefore not subject to production under the Tennessee Public Records Act. See Tenn. Code Ann. 10-7-504(a)(2). For that reason we are unable to provide those records to you until we receive a subpoena or court order for them.
