Pursuant to Tennessee's Public Records Act, I hereby request the following records:
- All correspondence to or from employees of the Department of Commerce and Insurance to or from employees of the National Association of Insurance Commissioners referencing the proposed merger between Cigna and Anthem. This includes correspondence to or from email address from the domain name "naic.org."
- All correspondence to or from employees of the Department of Commerce and Insurance to or from employees of the Connecticut Insurance Department, including Connecticut Insurance Commissioner Katharine Wade, referencing the proposed merger between Cigna and Anthem.
- All correspondence to or from employees of the Department of Commerce and Insurance to or from employees of Cigna and/or Anthem referencing the proposed merger between Cigna and Anthem. This includes correspondence to or from email address from the domain name "cigna.com" and/or "anthem.com"
I hereby request such correspondence for the dates 1/1/15 to the present.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 7 business days, as the statute requires.
