Hello,
To obtain a vital record you must first complete an application with the specifics of who's record you would like to purchase, Health & Safety Code section 102231, subsection (b) provides the statutory process to obtain vital records. California Department of Public Health's FAQ #8 (https://www.cdph.ca.gov/Programs/CHSI/Pages?Vital-Records-Frequently-Asked-Questions-(FAQs).aspx) states that an individual must complete the application for each specific person and provide the fees prior to us performing a search. Informational Death records in Tehama County are $21 per record, Health and Safety Code section 103625 describes the fees for vital records. I have attached an application for death records for our county, please complete one application per record you would like to purchase including their name and date of death. Each record we search has a $21 fee whether our county holds the record or not (Health and Safety Code section 103650).
Thank You,
Emily King
