Sex Offender Registry Fees

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Louisiana Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:

Records reflecting a schedule of current fees imposed on sex offender registrants in St Tammany Parish
Records reflecting previous schedules of fees imposed on sex offender registrants in St Tammany Parish
Records reflecting statutes, regulations, rules and other guidelines authorizing or requiring increases in these fees
Records reflecting monies received from registrants to pay these fees
Records reflecting the amount of monies that registrants failed to pay, as well as records reflecting the steps that state and local authorities have taken in response to the failure to pay

If there are any fees for searching or copying these records, please inform me if the cost will exceed $100. However, I would also like to request a waiver of all fees in that the disclosure of the requested information is in the public interest. This information is not being sought for commercial purposes.

Section 44:32(D) of the Louisiana Public Records Act requires a response within three business days. If access to the records I am requesting will take longer than that time period, please contact me with information about when I might expect copies or the ability to inspect the requested records. If you deem this request to take significant time to complete, please release the documents on a rolling basis as they become available.

Or, if you find this request to require significant manpower to fulfill, please give me a call at 707-479-7913 to discuss how I might be able to narrow the request in a manner that reduces the burden on your agency and expedites fulfillment of this request.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
