To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Missouri Sunshine Law and the Missouri Public Records Law, I hereby request the following records:
Copies of the St. Louis County Police Department's Social Media Policy as it existed on December 3, 2014, and in its current form.
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 3 business days, as the statute requires.
Sincerely,
Russel Neiss

You may download our procedures from our website free of charge. Each policy contains the date it went into effect.
Due to the massive amount of records requests, and the department’s many other responsibilities, requests for records may take up to approximately 10 business days to process. Please do not call or email to check the status of your request until 14 business days after your request was submitted.

Lieutenant Burk,
Thank you so much for your prompt response. However, the social media policy available via your website is dated: 1/25/2012.
I am seeking a copy of the amended social media policy as described by Chief Jon Belmar in this public Facebook post on December 4, 2014: https://www.facebook.com/StLouisCountyPolice/posts/898371663514944
Thank you again.
Sincerely,
Russel Neiss
