RE: Public Records Request submitted on July 20, 2021, Reference # P018282-072021
Dear Media Samuel Sinyangwe,
Please clarify what you mean by "police shootings." Do you want the number of times an officer discharged a weapon OR the number of times an officer discharged a weapon and hit a person?
I will continue processing this request once I hear back from you. Requests are closed if no response is received within 30 days of this message.
Thank you,
Erika Zaza

Hi, I mean the total number of incidents whereby an officer discharged a firearm at a person (whether or not they hit the person). This should be at the incident level, so if multiple officers fire at multiple people in a single encounter it would count as one incident.
Thanks,
-Sam
