Records of all businesses that served alcohol to minors in Sparks in the year 2020-2021
The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.
In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

I apologize, I sent a few emails indicating that the requested time would be 11-10-22. Please reference the email below. We are not the holder of the records as this enforcement is kept by another agency as part of a consolidated team. I am in the process of tracking down the contact person and agency, so I can refer you to submit to the agency who holds the records.
I will deny this PRR request for Sparks and close it out as soon as I receive contact information from the agency. I will follow up with another email indicating the contact person and who to submit the request to for the records.

After receiving and researching your public records request, it was determined that the records are not maintained by the Sparks Police. It was determined by Sgt. S. Smith of RPD, HEAT, consolidated unit, that during the requested period of 2020-2021, due to Covid and grant funding, there was no alcohol compliance completed. The request is denied as records do not exist. If you need further information, please submit it Sgt. S. Smith of RPD, HEAT unit. Thank you.

Your PRR 20222963 was denied by the Sparks Police due to records not maintained by our agency. Sgt. S. Smith, Reno Police Department, HEAT unit, consolidated group, does hold the records, if they existed, but during 2020-2021, there were no alcohol compliance checks completed due to Covid and grant funding, therefore he has no records. In the future, if you need further information regarding alcohol compliance checks, please submit the public records request directly to the Reno Police Department, HEAT unit, attention Sgt. S. Smith.

Good afternoon:
Sgt. Scott Smith responded by email, listed below in response to my research regarding the PRR 20222963 items.
"The Street Enforcement Team (SET) was previously responsible for alcohol compliance operations. Their last operation was in 2019. In January 2020, there was a reorganization of our Regional Units. SET became the Regional Narcotics Unit (RNU) and the Human Exploitation and Trafficking unit (HEAT) was formed. The responsibility of alcohol compliance operations eventually ended up with the HEAT unit. Due to COVID and no grant funding, there were no operations completed in 2020 or 2021.
The HEAT unit did their first alcohol compliance operation for 2022 in July and a second operation in September. So, between sometime in 2019 and July 2022, there were no alcohol compliance operations conducted."
His response to my request and why the PRR was denied, records do not belong to our agency and items do not exist.
