Removal of This Book is Anti-Racist, teacher reprimand, and classroom library standards (Southlake, TX)

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the Texas Public Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

All material relating to:

(1) the removal of "This Book is Anti-Racist" from the classroom of Rickie Farah at Johnson Elementary School, including but not limited to the initial parental complaint and any orders regarding the book;

(2) the reprimand of Rickie Farah, including but not limited to the initial parental complaint, any action or recommendation of the administration, and records of the school board's meetings, discussions, and vote on the issue, including communication with employees of the school district, constituents, and others, both before and afterwards;

(3) standards for materials in classroom libraries at the time of item 1 and any communication, orders, standards, educational materials, etc. on this topic communicated to faculty and staff or otherwise promulgated subsequently;

and any district policies relevant to and all internal or external discussions of the foregoing.

The requested documents will be made available to the general public, and this request is not being made for commercial purposes.

In the event that there are fees, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
