To Whom It May Concern:
Pursuant to the Rhode Island Access to Public Records Act ("APRA"), I hereby request the following records:
Written procedures for access to the agency’s public records, including any records request forms required or suggested by the agency
I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.
In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.
Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 10 business days, as the statute requires.

Thank you so much for your response. I also submitted a similar but separate request to the South Kingstown Finance Department, and I'm now wondering if that request may have been forwarded to you.

I did not receive the Finance Department's request, however if it is the same question it would be the same response, or was there a different question for the Finance Department? I guess I am confused.
Apologies for any confusion! I am trying to ascertain whether the South Kingstown Finance Department received my request and subsequent followups.
I sent it on March 31 to firstname.lastname@example.org.
In a number of other towns, the Finance Department forwarded their copy of the request to the city/town clerk for processing in keeping with municipal APRA procedures. To date, I have received no indication that the Finance Department has processed my request.

Yes, the Finance Department did receive your request. The response provided to you by the Town Clerk actually provided procedures for all public information requests received by the Town of South Kingstown.
