Request for South Carolina crime statistics by county (FY2012)

To Whom It May Concern:

Pursuant to the South Carolina Freedom of Information Act, I hereby request the following records:

I request South Carolina’s crime statistics/information by county during the fiscal years of 2012. The concrete information request on crime statistics is based on the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reports format. Please see the following sub-requests:

1) South Carolina’s crime statistics by county in FY2012:
- Number of offenses reported (murder, rape, robbery, assault, burglary, larceny, and auto theft)
- Number of arrests (murder, rape, robbery, assault, burglary, larceny, and auto theft)

I also request that, if appropriate, fees be waived as I believe this request is in the public interest. The requested documents will be made available to the general public free of charge as part of the public information service at MuckRock.com, processed by a representative of the news media/press and is made in the process of news gathering and not for commercial usage.

In the event that fees cannot be waived, I would be grateful if you would inform me of the total charges in advance of fulfilling my request. I would prefer the request filled electronically, by e-mail attachment if available or CD-ROM if not.

Thank you in advance for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. I look forward to receiving your response to this request within 15 business days, as the statute requires.

Thank you for your response.
I have frequently searched the web site you mentioned during last six months, but I did not find any update on crime rate there. So I directly e-mailed your institution several times on crime rate data for FY2012, but I never received any response from your institution. That is why I made this FOIA request.

Please tell me the estimated date for publishing and updating crime rate data for FY2012 in your web site. Also I recommend that your institution should be more public-respondent, considering my past experience with no responses to my several questions on data requests.
