This is in response to your FOIA request of May 18, 2018 regarding Dr. Timothy D. Brewerton, License number 13420, and LPC Patricia Jeffrey, License number 5804.

Section 30-4-40(a)(4) of the 1976 Code of Laws of South Carolina, exempts from disclosure “matters specifically exempted from disclosure by statute or law.” Section 40-47-190 of the 1976 Code of Laws of South Carolina, the Medical Practice Act, imposes confidentiality requirements upon all proceedings by the Board of Medical Examiners concerning licensed physicians in this state. Section 40-75-90 imposes confidentiality requirements upon all proceedings by the Board of Examiners for Licensure of Professional Counselors, Marriage and Family Therapists and Psycho-Educational Specialists concerning licensees in this state. Specifically, investigations and proceedings, if any, conducted under the provisions of these chapters are confidential. Only final agency decisions that are not designated as private reprimands or dismissals are public and may be disclosed by the Board.

There are no public orders or disciplinary actions for Dr. Brewerton or for Ms. Jeffrey.
